As a mom of 3, one of my favorite Mother’s day traditions is having the kids whip me up a little something in the kitchen. Now that they are older, they like to be a little more adventurous which makes it more fun and delicious!

Start by choosing one or a few recipes to try. I like doing a mix of savory and sweet like an egg casserole with fruit.

One of my favorite tips is to pick a make ahead dish that will help reduce stress and time. That way you can enjoy the day with your mom and not be in the kitchen all morning.

Don’t forget a few drinks like coffee, a juice bar, maybe even a mimosa station.

The big take away is to keep it simple. You just need a few well chosen recipes and maybe some flowers, to make the day feel special.
