Air fryers can be used in so many ways like making a delicious bacon and egg breakfast. Cooking with the air fryer is fast, easy and requires minimal clean-up.

It’s possible to get delicious creamy, fluffy eggs using this cooking method. The key is to cook them on low heat and just for a few minutes. You will also want to stir them during the cooking process to help keep them fluffy and light.

Ingredients needed

Eggs – 1-2 eggs are needed for this recipe.

Milk – You can use milk, half and half, or heavy cream. Milk adds an extra creaminess but you can also choose to leave it out completely.

Salt and pepper – Light seasoning for the eggs.

Butter – Unsalted, sweet cream butter. If you don’t want to use butter you can substitute with 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil or spray the pan with non-stick cooking spray.

Pan – Use a small pan, baking dish, ramekin or disposable pan.

Air Fryer – I am using a Cosori air fryer but there are many wonderful brands on the market today. You can read more about my experience with the Cosori to see if it might be the right machine for your family.

  4. Carefully pour egg mixture into heated pan. Cook at 310 degrees for 2 minutes.
  5. Take out air fryer basket and stir the eggs with a spatula. Continue cooking at 310 degrees for another 3-4 minutes depending how you like your eggs.

Can I use more eggs?

Yes, you can cook more than two eggs if you use a larger air fryer pan. For this recipe I used a pizza pan that can only hold two eggs. A deeper pan would allow for 3-4 eggs.

Cooking more eggs might require a few extra minutes of cook time.

Can I add cheese?

Yes, you can add cheese to your scrambled eggs. After cooking for two minutes, stir the eggs and then add the shredded cheese. Cook for another 3-4 minutes.

Recipe tips

  • Each air fryer cooks a little different. You want to make sure to cook the eggs at a low temperature so they don’t burn.
  • You can cook these without milk and you can also substitute butter with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Make sure to stir at least once during the cooking process to help them scramble. If you like larger pieces, one stir is fine. If you like them smaller, stop and stir them 2 times.
  • Try adding a dash of hot sauce, chives or green onion to your eggs.
  • Careful not to overcook the eggs. Stir after 2 minutes, let cook and then check again after 2 minutes.
