Chick Fil A Avocado Lime Ranch

Making restaurant favorite sauces at home, like Polynesian sauce and Chick-Fil-A sauce, is so easy and is a great way to control the ingredients. Most of the sauces can be made with simple ingredients you might already have and it’s easy to adjust them to your taste preference.

Chick-Fil-A salad dressings, like their avocado lime ranch, can also be simple to prepare and tastes just like the restaurant. It’s so much better than the bottled versions and without all of the preservatives.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

This twist on ranch is one of our favorites because it’s so creamy and flavorful with the fresh, tangy taste of lime.

Ingredients Needed

  • Mayonnaise – Adds a nice creamy base. You can use full fat mayonnaise like Dukes or Best Foods. You can also substitute with a vegan version.
  • Avocado – 1 large avocado is needed. A ripe avocado will be dark green, almost black, and have a little give when squeezed.
  • Ranch seasoning – Use prepackaged or homemade ranch seasoning.
  • Olive oil – Could also substitute with avocado oil or canola oil.
  • Lime juice and zest – The juice of one large lime, or about 1/4 cup of lime juice.
  • White vinegar – Can also substitute with apple cider vinegar.
  • Salt, Cumin, Sugar – These bring all of the flavors together.
Bowls of mayonnaise, seasoning, lime juice, vinegar, water.

How to make Avocado Lime Ranch Dressing

This creamy avocado lime ranch dressing is super easy to make. Just grab your ingredients and either a food processor or blender.

  1. Zest lime using a microplane. Set aside.
  2. Cut avocado in half and remove the pit. Scoop the inside of the avocado into the food processor.
  3. Add in mayonnaise, lime juice, lime zest, vinegar, water, ranch seasoning, cumin, salt, and sugar.
  4. Pulse until the mixture is smooth.
  5. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to use.
Food processor with avocado, mayonnaise and spices.

How to store

Make sure to store this dressing in an airtight container, like a jar, in the refrigerator. This will last for 3-4 days if stored correctly.

I would not recommend freezing this dressing. Mayonnaise does not keep well in the freezer.

Recipe tips

  • Make sure to use a ripe avocado.
  • I recommend chilling for at least an hour to let the flavors come together.
  • This dressing is a little thick. If you would like it to be more of a dressing for a salad, you can add 1-2 tablespoons of milk or water to thin it out.
  • This recipe makes around 2 cups of dressing. You can easily double the ingredients for more servings.
  • Make this recipe Keto friendly by substitute the sugar with a sugar alternative or leave it out completely.

    1. This makes just a little over a cup so I wrote it as close to 1/4 cup per serving. You can use as much or little as you want depending on how you are serving it. The leftovers keep well in the refrigerator for about a week.
