Arby’s restaurant has a variety of delicious sauces that they serve with their classic roast beef sandwiches. Horsey sauce, Arby’s sauce, and this Red Ranch sauce are some of the most popular.

Red ranch sauce should not be confused with Arby’s sauce or ranch dressing. It’s a sweet and tangy, tomato based sauce that is typically served on the Beef n Cheddar sandwiches. Some people think it has a similar taste to Catalina dressing.

Ingredients for Arby’s Red Ranch

You can make this easy copycat recipe with just a few ingredients that you might already have in your kitchen.

Bowl of ketchup, vinegar, sugar, worcestershire, seasonings, and oil.
  • Ketchup – Ketchup is the base to this sauce.
  • Vinegar – I find that apple cider vinegar gives you the closest taste to the restaurant sauce but you can substitute with white vinegar.
  • Sugar – A little granulated sugar gives this sauce some sweetness. Perfect to balance out the savory roast beef.
  • Worcestershire sauce – Adds a hint of beefy flavor.
  • Seasonings – Garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt
  • Olive oil – Just a little bit of olive oil is needed for the sauce.

Heather’s recipe tips

This sauce makes about 1 cup. You can easily double it if you are feeding a crowd or want to save some for another day.

  • Consistency: If you like a thinner sauce, you can add 1 tablespoon of water to the mixture.
  • Sweetness: Feel free to adjust the amount of sugar. If you like it sweeter, try adding an extra teaspoon of sugar.
  • Creamy: If you would like to add a little creaminess to the sauce, stir in 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise after you have heated the sauce.
  • Store: This red ranch sauce will last up to 2 weeks in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
