Ingredients needed for meatloaf seasoning recipe

Just a few simple spices are needed for this seasoning blend. This recipe works great with 2 pounds of ground meat.

  • Salt
  • Ground Black Pepper
  • Paprika
  • Ground Dried Mustard
  • Onion Powder
  • Garlic Powder
  • Dried Thyme
  • Dried Basil

How to make homemade meatloaf seasoning

  1. Mix: Place all of the spices in a bowl. Stir until combined.
  2. Add to your meatloaf recipe or store in an airtight container for later use.

Recipe variations

You can change up the spices for personal preference. A few suggestions are:

  • Italian seasoning – Replace the basil and thyme with Italian seasoning.
  • Spicy – Like a little heat to your meatloaf? Try stirring in 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper or replace basil and thyme with Cajun seasoning.

These homemade meatloaf seasoning adds so much flavor to meatloaf. Just a few simple spices are needed to make this seasoning mix. Add this seasoning to 2 pounds of ground beef.

Servings: 3 tablespoons

Ingredients 

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground dried mustard
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil

Instructions 

  • Place all of the ingredients in a bowl and stir to combine.
  • Use for a two pound meatloaf or place in an airtight container and store for later use.
  • Note: When making the meatloaf, add in the seasoning mixture when mixing the ground meat.
