We are loving living here in Georgia. The summer was great and it is so nice being close to our family. This past weekend I started missing Connecticut though, especially all of the beautiful apple orchards. When we were living there, we visited a different orchard almost every weekend in September. There is nothing like eating an apple straight from the tree and then taking a tractor ride back to your car. It is one of those special fall traditions I hope to keep doing with our kids. Now I need to find an orchard here in the south. In my attempt to clean up the office, I was clearing out some of my old food magazines. I came across this recipe in a Food Network Magazine from years ago. The article had several ideas for using apples and thought it this would be perfect to make for a quick dinner. Of course, I had to change a few things to give it my own spin.
I used a pizza dough from my local grocery store. They keep the dough by the cold cakes in the bakery section. You can also use a canned or homemade dough. The ham I used was sliced in the deli and then I cut it into shreds.
To add a little color and make me feel good about eating some vegetables, I topped the pizza with some arugula. It added a nice peppery flavor.

I’m liking the autumn twist on this pizza. I bet the harvarti, apple and ham are awesome together!
Thank you!
Such a perfect fall pizza, love the apple and ham combo. I actually have some smoked ham in the fridge, and I am thinking of making a relish pizza.
That sounds delicious! Fall is definitely my favorite time to cook.
Pizza is everything around our house. I love the combo with the apples and ham, I never thought of it but i love it !
Thank you! I know, we love pizza too and could eat it almost every night. Next time I am trying your recipe for the pizza dough.
You won my heart the minute you said pizza. Normally I don’t care what kind of pizza it is we have arugula. Excellent recipe.
Thank you Marisa!

What a beautiful and delicious idea for pizza and just perfect for this time of year; thanks for sharing this one!
Nice! I never use a baking sheet for pizza… how does the crust turn out? Do you heat it up first?
The baking sheet works great! I don’t heat the crust first, just preheat the oven.
This dish looks and sounds delicious! Love the fresh ingredients on it!
Thank you!
Love the idea of fruit with meat. Can I substitute Turkey ham?
Yes Turkey would be great also. Hope you enjoy!
Great combination, all we need is some chilled beer 🙂 Yummmm
