Air fryer turkey bacon can be cooked in minutes. Perfectly crispy and great for a busy morning. This is the easiest method I have found for cooking the best turkey bacon.

Is it even breakfast if there’s not bacon on the table? After finding out how delicious regular bacon turns out in the air fryer, I had to test if turkey bacon would be as good. And as suspected, it turned out amazing!
Cooking turkey bacon in the air fryer helps to make it crispy and it’s so quick and easy. It really has a great texture and can be used as a side dish or incorporated into meals. Once you try this cooking method, I don’t think you will be going back.

Why this recipe works
- Seriously easy to make and clean-up. Simply add the bacon to the air fryer, set the time and temp and come back to delicious bacon.
- Air fried turkey bacon can be made in less than 10 minutes and doesn’t require preheating an oven or messy stove top grease.
- Even cooking. The hot, circulating air helps to cook each piece of bacon evenly.
- Turkey bacon in the air fryer is great for a fast breakfast, snack, or to put on sandwiches or salads.

- Place the turkey bacon in a single layer in the air fryer basket. If the pieces are too long, cut them in half. My 5.8 quart basket can fit about 6 full slices.
- Cook the bacon for 5 minutes at 390 degrees. Flip the bacon and cook another 3-5 minutes depending on your desired crispienss.
- Carefully remove the bacon using tongs. Serve immediately or save for meal prep.

Recipe tips
- Turkey bacon brands. You can use your favorite brand of turkey bacon for this cooking method. There are many to choose from like Oscar Mayer, Applegate, Jennie-O, Butterball, and Boars Head.
- Check on the bacon after 5 minutes of cooking. I like to flip mine but it’s not necessary. Each air fryer cooks a little different so add time as needed. I have found that a total cook time of 8-10 minutes works best.
- Don’t crowd the basket. Make sure to place the turkey bacon in a single layer for even cooking.
- Once it’s cooked, I like to place the bacon on a paper towel lined plate to help drain off any additional grease.
How to use air fried turkey bacon
Bacon makes a great side dish but also can be used to enhance a dish.
- Crumbled on a salad like this strawberry spinach salad or house salad.
- On a sandwich like a BLT, turkey sandwich, bagel sandwich, or meatloaf sandwich.
- In a breakfast quesadilla or breakfast burrito or on a breakfast pizza.
Serving suggestions
Turkey bacon is delicious any time of the day. It pairs great with a variety of dishes like:
Storage instructions
Store: Keep any leftover air fried turkey bacon in an airtight bag or container in the refrigerator for 4-5 days.
Reheat: The bacon can be reheated in the air fryer at 350 for 1-2 minutes, in the microwave or in the oven.
Freeze: Freeze any leftovers in a freezer safe bag for 2-3 months.
How to keep the air fryer from smoking
The great thing about turkey bacon is that it typically doesn’t make a lot of grease. If you are worried about the air fryer smoking, you can either add 1 tablespoon of water to the bottom of the air fryer basket or place a piece of bread on the bottom to soak up any grease.
