Strawberry Mimosas are beautiful, refreshing and perfect for a brunch, celebration or holiday. Strawberry puree paired with champagne come together to make this gorgeous cocktail.

Blushing mimosas is one of the most popular drink recipes on the blog. I’m sure this strawberry version will also be a hit!

Glass with champagne and a strawberry.

These easy strawberry mimosas make a wonderful addition to any celebration, party or brunch. The frozen strawberry puree gives these fizzy drinks a slight sweetness and adds so much pretty color and of course you can’t go wrong with bubbles.

Why this champagne cocktail is so good

    • Three simple ingredients.
    • Beautiful color.
    • Bubbles!
    • An excuse to drink champagne in the morning!

    Ingredients needed

Only three ingredients are needed for this bubbly drink.

Frozen whole strawberries – Find in the freezer section.

Orange juice – Fresh squeezed is always best but feel free to use your favorite store brand. If you are buying your OJ, pulp free is nice so the pulp doesn’t get mixed up with the bubbles.

Champagne or sparkling wine – Cava, Brut, sparkling rose or Prosecco are good choices.

    How to make strawberry mimosas

Scroll to the bottom for full printable recipe, ingredients and video.

    • Blend: Add frozen strawberries to a blender and pour orange juice over them and blend.
    • Pour: Pour strawberry mixture in half of glass. Top with champagne.
    • Serve: Garnish with a strawberry or orange peel and serve.

How to make in a pitcher

To make this for a larger crowd, pour strawberry mixture in a pitcher and then top with the full bottle of champagne. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Just be aware that you will loose a little bit of the carbonation.

Tip: Add several whole, frozen strawberries to the pitcher to act as ice cubes.

What is the best champagne for mimosas?

These are slightly sweet so look for a dryer option like a mid-range Brut or Cava. You can also use a dry Prosecco or even a Sparkling Rose.

    Frozen or fresh strawberries?

Feel free to use either for this mimosa. I prefer using frozen strawberries because they are usually picked at peak ripeness and they add a nice chill to the drink.

What to serve with strawberry mimosas?

I love serving these anytime of day but brunch is my favorite. Here are a few suggestions to pair with these drinks:

    • Cake mix waffles
    • Banana oatmeal pancakes
    • Sausage egg and cheese monkey bread
    • Eggs Benedict casserole

    Recipe tips

    • To make this non-alcoholic swap out the champagne for carbonated water, ginger ale, sparkling cider or lemon lime soda.
    • Make sure all the ingredients are cold.
    • If the strawberry mixture seems too thick, add an extra splash of orange juice.
    • If you like your drinks more sweet, add a teaspoon of sugar to the strawberry mixture when blending.
    • When pouring champagne into a glass, hold glass at a 45 degree angle to prevent excess foaming bubbles.
    • The ratio of a mimosa is up to you. For a stronger drink add less strawberry and more champagne.
    • No need to stir, the bubbles will do the mixing.
    • Serve in a champagne flute glass. This helps to preserve the bubbles. There are both stemless and stemmed options depending on your preference.
