Why you should make this cinnamon sugar popcorn

  • This is a fast and delicious snack perfect for a movie night, party, or holiday gathering.
  • You can make this recipe with just four ingredients.

What you’ll need

Bag of popcorn, butter, bowl of sugar, and cinnamon.
  • Popcorn – I like using a bag of popcorn because it’s easy. I also recommend using the butter flavored popcorn for more flavor.
  • Butter – Unsalted butter is used to make the cinnamon glaze.
  • Sugar – Granulated sugar adds sweetness to the popcorn.
  • Cinnamon – Ground cinnamon is used to add the wonderful cinnamon flavor.

How to make cinnamon popcorn

Step one: Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Microwave popcorn according to the bag directions.

Step two: Carefully pour the cooked popcorn on the lined baking sheet. Try to remove any popcorn kernels that didn’t get popped.

Recipe tips

  • If you want your popcorn extra sweet, you can double the butter, sugar, cinnamon glaze.
  • Don’t want to use the stove? You can melt the butter, sugar, cinnamon mixture in a bowl in the microwave.
  • Feeding a crowd? This makes about 8 cups of popcorn. You can easily double the whole recipe if you have more people to serve or want leftovers.
  • Use your favorite popcorn. If you don’t like butter flavor, use plain popcorn.
