Baking dish with cinnamon roll peach cobbler.

While scrolling social media one night, I came across a recipe for cinnamon roll apple pie cobbler. I couldn’t believe how easy it was so I decided to try it with cans of peach pie filling instead, making this cinnamon roll peach cobbler.

This recipe is a combination of my peach cobbler with cake mix and cinnamon roll casserole. Sweet peaches bubble up around the pieces of cinnamon rolls and then topped off with a drizzle of icing, yum! I like serving it for breakfast, brunch, or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert.

After making this recipe a few times, I decided to add a little sprinkle of cinnamon and sugar on the top of the cobbler for just a little extra hint of cinnamon. This is totally optional but I do think it adds nice flavor.

Why you’ll love this recipe

  • Super simple. Really this recipe couldn’t be easier. Just combine the peaches with the cinnamon rolls and bake.
  • Delicious warm flavors. Cinnamon and peaches are the ultimate flavor pair.
  • Serve for a variety of occasions. This is easy enough to make for a weekend breakfast but nice enough for a holiday dessert, brunch, and more.

Ingredients

Cans of cinnamon rolls, cans of peach pie filling, bowl of cinnamon and sugar.
  • Cinnamon Rolls – You will need 2 cans of cinnamon rolls. I like using the Pillsbury cinnamon rolls.
  • Peach Pie Filling – The recipe calls for 2 cans of peach pie filling. If you are using a smaller baking dish like an 8 x 8, you will just need one can.
  • Cinnamon and sugar – Cinnamon and sugar are optional but I like sprinkling them on top for a little something extra.

Heather’s recipe tips

  • Save the cinnamon roll icing. Don’t throw away the icing that comes with the cinnamon rolls. It’s perfect to drizzle on top.
  • Make sure to use peach pie filling. This recipes calls for the pie filling, not canned peaches.
  • Don’t skip cutting the cinnamon rolls. This helps them to bake and soak up the peach flavors.
  • Check baking time. Each oven cooks a little different. I recommend checking the cobbler at 30 minutes to make sure the cinnamon rolls have cooked through. If the tops are getting browned but the rolls still aren’t cooked, lightly cover the dish with foil and keep baking.
  • Let the peach cobbler rest. I recommend letting it rest for at least 5 minutes before serving to let everything come together.

Make ahead and storage instructions

Make ahead: You can make this cinnamon roll peach cobbler ahead of time, like the night before. Cover and put in the refrigerator until ready to bake.

Store: Let the cobbler cool and then cover the baking dish or transfer to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Freeze: This can be frozen for up to 2 months. Wrap the dish in plastic wrap and then foil. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight.

Reheat: Reheat the cobbler covered with foil in the oven at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until warmed through. You can also microwave the cobbler.
