Frozen food in the air fryer like air fryer frozen crab cakes or air fryer frozen chicken strips, is a life saver when it comes to heating up food fast. The hot air that circulates around the food always cooks to golden brown perfection.

    Why this cooking method works

    • Fast – Cooking in the air fryer is faster than the oven and there is no need thaw or to preheat.
    • Delicious – This cooking method gives you a golden, crispy crust while keeping the creamy filling hot.
    • Easy – There is basically no clean-up for this easy meal.

    What you need

Frozen pot pie – Choose your favorite frozen pot pie. We are using Marie Callender’s pot pie, the mini, 10 ounce size. Banquet pot pies are also popular.

Air Fryer – We use a Cosori air fryer which can hold 2 mini pot pies.

Aluminum Foil – This helps protect the crust from burning while cooking.

How to make frozen pot pie in air fryer

Step one: Remove the frozen pot pie from the box. Cover the top of the frozen pie with aluminum foil to protect the pie crust from burning. Depending on the size of your air fryer and the pot pie, you can cook one or two at a time.

Foil covered mini pot pies in an air fryer basket.

Step two: Air fryer for 25 minutes at 400 degrees F. Carefully remove the foil off the top of the pies. Cook another 5 minutes at 400 degrees F to allow the crust to brown.

Step three: Carefully remove the pot pies from the air fryer basket and serve hot.

How long to cook a frozen pot pie in the air fryer?

Cook time may vary depending on the size of your frozen pot pie. The small, 8 oz Marie Callender’s pot pie will take a total of 30 minutes to completely cook while a larger 16 oz pie will take about 40 minutes.
