How to make honey mustard pretzels

This is a super easy recipe with simple ingredients. Feel to try changing up the spices to suit your taste.

Step one: Melt the butter in a microwave safe bowl. Stir in mustard, honey, garlic powder, paprika, and ground mustard until fully combined.

Step two: Preheat oven to 225 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Pour the bag of pretzels into a large bowl.

Step three: Pour honey mustard sauce over pretzels and stir to combine and coat the pretzels. Spread the coated pretzels out on lined, rimmed baking sheet. Try to spread them out in an even layer if possible.

Step four: Bake for 45-60 minutes, stirring every 10-15 minutes. Let cool before serving.

Variations

Sauce – Don’t have Dijon, you can substitute yellow mustard or brown mustard. Want to add a little heat? Next time try adding 1/8th teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the honey mustard or a splash of your favorite hot sauce.

How to store

Store leftovers in an airtight container, like a zip bag, at room temperature.

Ingredients 

  • 16 ounces mini pretzels
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons dry mustard

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 225 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Pour bag of pretzels into a large bowl.
  • Melt the butter in a microwave safe bowl. (about 30 seconds) Stir in mustard, honey, garlic powder, paprika, and ground mustard until fully combined.
  • Pour honey mustard sauce over pretzels and stir to combine and coat the pretzels. Spread the coated pretzels out on lined, rimmed baking sheet. Try to spread them out in an even layer if possible.
  • Bake the pretzels for 45-60 minutes, stirring every 10-15 minutes. Remove from oven and then let cool before serving.
