  • Butter – Use high quality, unsalted butter. I prefer using unsalted because you can control the sodium. You can substitute with salted butter if you prefer. Make sure to start with room temperature butter to make it easy to mix.
  • Cinnamon – Ground cinnamon adds lots of flavor to the spread. Try using fresh, high quality ground cinnamon for the best taste.
  • Powdered Sugar – Adds a touch of sweetness to the butter. If you want to cut back on calories, feel free to reduce the amount or omit.
  • Honey – Adds another layer of sweetness.
  • Vanilla extract – Offers a warm, rich flavor to the butter.
  • Salt – Helps to balance the sweetness.

Butter – You can substitute with salted butter or vegan butter.

Vanilla – If you don’t have vanilla extract, you can substitute with vanilla bean paste.

Honey – Try something a little different by substituting honey with maple syrup.

Sugar – You can substitute powdered sugar with brown sugar for a richer flavor.
