- Strawberry JELL-O: A small box of strawberry JELL-O mix helps to bind everything together and adds extra strawberry flavor.
- Strawberries: Frozen sliced strawberries work best for this recipe because the release just the right amount of juice. You can use fresh strawberries that have been frozen.
- Cool Whip: Frozen whipped topping is used for the creamy part of this strawberry dessert. Make sure to thaw it before preparing the dessert.
How to make strawberry angel food cake

- Try not to over mix. This can cause the angel food cake to break down.
- Let it chill and set. This will help all of the flavors come together.
Variations
Fruit: You can substitute the frozen strawberries with frozen raspberries or frozen blueberries.
Cake: Angel food cake gives this dessert a nice, fluffy texture. You can substitute with yellow cake or pound cake for a more dense dessert.

Ingredients
- 1 (13 ounce) angel food cake
- 1 (3 ounce) strawberry JELLO mix
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 (14 ounce) sliced frozen strawberries
- 1 (8 ounce) frozen whipped topping, thawed
Instructions
- Tear the angel food cake into 1 inch pieces and set aside.
- Place the strawberry JELL-O mix in a large bowl. Pour in the boiling water and whisk until the mix completely dissolves.
- Stir the frozen strawberries into the JELL-O.
- Fold in the thawed, whipped topping into the JELL-O mixture.
- Fold in the angel food cake pieces until combined.
- Spread the mixture out in a 9 x 13 baking dish. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
- Optional: You can add an extra 8 ounce tub of thawed whipped topping on top of the dessert.
