2. Hollandaise Sauce

While Hollandaise sauce tastes fancy, it’s actually quite simple to make! You can make a delicious homemade Hollandaise sauce with just a few ingredients: eggs, butter, lemon juice, and simple seasonings like salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

This sauce has a thick and creamy consistency. The key to whipping up the perfect Hollandaise is using the double boiler method, placing a small heatproof bowl or saucepan over a larger saucepan that contains simmering water.

3. Lemon Pepper Sauce

4. Teriyaki Sauce

One of our all-time favorite sauces for broccoli is sweet teriyaki sauce. Once you pair this sauce with steamed broccoli, you’re only a few ingredients away from a full stir fry meal!

Brown sugar and honey add sweetness, while soy sauce and sesame oil add a savory flavor to this sauce. Ginger is the ingredient that ties this teriyaki sauce together, adding just the right amount of tanginess to balance out all of the flavors. Be sure to add a little bit of cornstarch as this will help the sauce thicken slightly.

5. Ranch

Wingstop’s ranch is one of our absolute favorite dipping sauces not only for wings and fries but also for veggies like steamed broccoli. This copycat Wingstop ranch is perfectly creamy and has a bold herby flavor.

Using a packaged ranch seasoning mix will make this recipe so easy! We love using the Hidden Valley brand for this recipe, but a homemade blend of herbs will also work just fine too.

6. Bearnaise Sauce

This rich béarnaise sauce is one of the most elegant sauces for broccoli in this list. It’s a great addition that will enhance any meal and taste delicious on veggies, especially roasted broccoli!

Béarnaise sauce uses many of the same ingredients found in Hollandaise sauce, but infused vinegar and chopped tarragon are two different ingredients that make this recipe unique.

The infused vinegar, which features white wine, white wine vinegar, and a shallot, adds a bold flavor that balances the elegant taste of butter and herbs.

7. Steak Sauce

Skip a trip to the grocery store and make your own Heinz 57 sauce at home. This delicious multipurpose sauce has remained a popular item on the shelf after originating almost 100 years ago!
