Sangria floats only require two ingredients, sangria and sherbet. Such a fun drink! It is like having dessert in a glass.

Sangria floats only require two ingredients. Such a fun drink! It is like having dessert in a glass.

Sangria floats popped in my head one evening when my son was begging for a root beer float. I love a sangria swirl, frozen sangria mixed with frozen margarita, so why not a sangria float?!

sangria floats, raspberry sorbet and sangria

How to make Sangria Floats

For these floats I used a sparkling sangria because I love bubbles! Scoop your favorite flavor of sherbet in a large wine glass or tumbler. Raspberry sherbet happens to be my favorite and the flavor goes perfect with the sangria. Orange, lemon or lime would be delicious too. Pour sangria over the sorbet. Drink up or grab a spoon.

The color of this drink would be great for Valentine’s day, a bridal shower, Mother’s day or even Christmas. We are in the heat of summer now and these pair nicely with a backyard BBQ. A little pulled pork sandwich and sangria float, yum!
