This stuffed celery with walnuts recipe uses some simple ingredients but it is also easy to customize to make your own.

Step three: Make sure to completely combined.

Step four: Spread the mixture in stalks of celery. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

  • Soften the cream cheese. Softening the cream cheese will help make the mixture creamy and easy to spread.
  • Use fresh celery. Make sure the celery is fresh and crispy. Don’t forget to clean and dry with a paper towel.
  • Chop small. Be sure to chop the walnuts, cranberries, bacon, and green onions small so that it’s easy to spread and eat.
  • Toast walnuts. Add more depth of flavor by lightly toasting the walnuts.

Variations

There are many ways you can make cream cheese stuffed celery. Here are a few other options:

  • Everything bagel: Add Everything Bagel seasoning to the cream cheese mixture.
  • Bacon ranch: Leave out the honey and add a little shredded cheese, ranch dressing or seasoning.

Stuffed Celery

This stuffed celery recipe is an updated twist on a classic snack. Crunchy celery is filled with a sweet and savory creamy cheese mixture. A delicious and easy appetizer or snack.

Servings: 18 celery stalks

Ingredients 

  • 6 celery stalks, cut into 3 pieces each
  • 1 (8 ounce) cream cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ cup dried cranberries
  • ½ cup walnuts, chopped
  • 2 green onions, diced
  • 6 pieces bacon

Instructions 

  • Cook and crumble bacon. Drain any excess grease.
  • Rinse and dry the celery stalks. Cut into 3 pieces per stalk.
  • Chop green onions, dried cranberries, and walnuts into small pieces.
  • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese with a mixer until creamy. Beat in the honey, garlic powder, and ground black pepper.
  • Stir in the chopped bacon, green onions, cranberries, and walnuts.
  • Spread mixture in each celery stalk. Eat immediately or store in the refrigerator.
