They can be cooked on high for 6-7 hours or on low temperature for 8 hours to fully cook and be tender.
These country-style ribs do not need to be submerged.
Believe it or not, country-style ribs aren’t ribs. This meat comes from the pork shoulder area of the pig. They are called ribs because they resemble traditional ribs in texture and flavor.
I recommend slow cooking on low heat for 8 hours for the most tender meat. The longer you cook them, the more tender they will be. If they are still a little tough after 8 hours, cook them a little longer.

So good and so easy!! Thank you for sharing 😊
I tried your recipe for slow cooker Country style ribs, they were delicious, I will use this recipe again.
Yum yum yum!! Made this for the first time and it was a big hit at my work holiday potluck. Used abput 6.5 lbs of pork (with bones). Added liquid smoke and it made the bbq flavor come to life. Didn’t realize I was short on bbq sauce so i was only able to squeeze out about 1 cup. Delicious!
Tip: Carefully remove the meat, set aside. Remove the drippings/sauce, and set aside. Return the meat back to your slow cooker, add in some of the drippings and more bbq sauce if needed. Set to warm, give it a little mix, and invite your guests to eat!
Question: Can this be done with pork butt roast?
Try these for the first time just put them in the crockpot hoping for the best
Making this today for the 5th time this year. My family loves it. I’m using an extra large slab of ribs that I cut down. Also, I add a head of cabbage shredded to the bottom of the cooker. It’ll be the 2nd time adding the cabbage and it is a wonderful addition.
So happy you enjoy them!
Made these for dinner tonight, they were absolutely delicious. I served the with mashed potatoes and broccoli. My husband also loved them . Thanks for a great recipe 👍
