Ingredients

Make this crescent roll taco pizza with a few simple base ingredients and your favorite toppings.

Ground beef, can of crescent rolls, bowl of cheese, sour cream, tomatoes, onion, lettuce, can of beans, and taco seasoning.
  • Corn meal: I like dusting the pan with a little cornmeal. It gives the crust a little crunch and added flavor.
  • Crescent roll dough: Canned crescent dough is used to make the taco pizza crust.
  • Refried beans: This is an optional ingredient. If you don’t like beans, you can leave this off.
  • Ground beef: I am using a lean ground beef. You can substitute with ground turkey or ground chicken.

  • Green chiles: A small can of chiles add delicious flavor.

Heather’s Recipe Tips

  • Use a rimmed baking sheet. The crescent roll can puff up a little bit so it’s nice to have a rimmed baking sheet to keep everything on the pan.
  • Let the crescent roll crust cool a little before topping. This will help prevent the cream cheese mixture from getting too soft.
  • Make sure to drain any excess grease off of the meat.
  • Can be served warm or cold. This recipe can be served either way.

Variations and Substitutions

Make this crescent roll taco pizza your own with a few adjustments. Here are some recommendations:

  • Protein: Change up the ground beef with shredded chicken, pulled pork, ground chicken or ground turkey.
  • Cheese: There are many cheese options. Shredded Monterey jack, cheddar, or pepper jack all work well.
  • Vegetables: Try adding veggies like diced bell pepper, jalapenos, or even corn.
  • Other: There are so many other great toppings like fresh cilantro, diced avocado, or even taco sauce.

Storage Instructions

Store: Keep any leftovers in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.

Reheat: You might want to try and remove the lettuce before reheating the pizza. Reheat in the microwave or in the oven.
