Servings: 8
- 1 tablespoon cornmeal
- 2 (8 ounce) cans crescent roll dough
- 1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
- 1 (8 ounce) cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 ounce taco seasoning
- 1 (4 ounce) green chilis
- 1 cup shredded colby jack cheese
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 green onions, diced
- ¼ cup sliced black olives
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Line a 9 x 13 baking sheet with parchment paper.
Sprinkle the cornmeal over the parchment paper.
Roll the crescent dough out on the baking sheet. Pinch all the seams together to form a crust.
Bake for the crescent roll crust for 8- 10 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes.
While the crust is baking, brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Break the beef apart and drain off any excess grease.
Add taco seasoning and 1/4 cup of water in with the ground beef and stir to combine. Stir in the diced green chiles.
Heat the refried beans in a microwave safe bowl in the microwave for 1 minute or on the stove top.
Spread the beans on the crust, leaving a little room around the edges for a crust.
With an electric mixer, mix together softened cream cheese and sour cream. Spread over the refried beans.
Spread the ground beef mixture over the cream cheese.
Top with lettuce, tomatoes, olives, green onions, and shredded cheese.
Slice and serve the pizza.
- Use a rimmed baking sheet. The crescent roll can puff up a little bit so it's nice to have a rimmed baking sheet to keep everything on the pan.
- Let the crescent roll crust cool a little before topping. This will help prevent the cream cheese mixture from getting too soft.
- Can be served warm or cold. This recipe can be served either way.
