My blue cheese slaw recipe is a staple in our house, especially in the summer. It’s an easy side dish that I love serving when we are grilling or just want something cool and crunchy with our meal.

My husband is obsessed with blue cheese. He always has a jar of my blue cheese dipping sauce in the refrigerator just so he can pour it on everything from burgers to veggies. That’s what gave me the idea to add blue cheese to our slaw.

The result was so good! The creamy slaw with the bite of blue cheese paired perfectly. Now it’s something we make frequently, especially in the warmer months.

If you like slaw be sure to try this red cabbage slaw, and broccoli slaw with ramen noodles.

  • Use a good blue cheese. Choose your favorite crumbled blue cheese.
  • Chill before serving. After making the slaw, I like refrigerating it for about 30 minutes to let the flavors come together.
