My cinnamon churro Bugles recipe is a sweet and salty snack that is hard to resist. Crunchy Bugles are coated in a sweet butter and tossed with cinnamon and sugar, giving them that classic churro flavor. Quick to make and perfect for parties, holidays, and or just when you want a sweet treat.

Cinnamon and sugar is one of my favorite combinations when it comes to food. Pair that with salty Bugles chips and you have a snack that is hard to beat. This cinnamon churro Bugles recipe is one of my favorite things to whip up when I need to satisfy my sweet tooth.

During the holidays, I like to have something a little sweet to eat while we are decorating the tree, watching holiday movies, or wrapping gifts. These Bugles are one of my favorite things because of the irresistible churro flavor, not to mention they are seriously easy to make.

You can make this churro Bugles recipe with a few simple ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen.

Bag of Bugles, butter, bowl of sugar, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
  • Bugles chips: I like getting the family size bag of original Bugles.
  • Butter: Unsalted butter is used to make the coating.
  • Light brown sugar: Light brown sugar adds rich sweetness to the chip coating.
  • Cinnamon: You will use cinnamon for both the coating and the topping.
  • Sugar: Granulated sugar is combined with the cinnamon to dust over the Bugles.

How to make cinnamon churro Bugles

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Spread the Bugles out in a roasting pan or on baking sheets.
  3. Place the butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a medium saucepan. Heat until it starts to boil and then let it boil for 2-3 minutes.

  1. Pour the mixture over the Bugles. Bake for 10 minutes, stirring halfway in between.
  2. While the Bugles are in the oven, stir the sugar and cinnamon together.

  1. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the Bugles. Stir to coat them.
  2. Serve and enjoy!

Heather’s recipe tips

  • Use fresh chips. I recommend using a fresh bag of Bugles for the best taste and texture.
  • Use a large bowl. This makes it easier to toss everything together to ensure you coat all of the chips.
  • Let them cool. Make sure to let them cool before serving.

Variations

  • Add in some candy. Try mixing in some M&M’s, sprinkles, or Reeces Pieces for a little extra sweetness.
  • Drizzle with chocolate. After the cinnamon Bugles cool, drizzle melted white chocolate over the Bugles.
  • Mix in nuts. Stir in some nuts like peanuts, cashews, or pecans.

Storage instructions

  • 1 (14.5 ounce bag) Bugles chips
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
