My chicken Caesar pinwheels are a delicious, bite sized twist on the classic salad. Tender chicken, crispy lettuce, Parmesan cheese, and creamy Caesar dressing all wrapped up in a tortilla guarantees big flavor in every bite. Easy to make for a no fuss appetizer.

Caesar salad and chicken Caesar salad wraps have been getting more popular, especially for social media foodies. I decided to put my own spin on this trend with these chicken Caesar salad pinwheels.

This Caesar salad version is a new favorite in our house. Creamy Caesar dressing, chicken, and crispy lettuce just hits the spot!

Ingredients
This chicken Caesar pinwheels recipe is a great way to use rotisserie chicken or even leftover chicken.

- Cream cheese: Softened cream cheese makes a great base for the mixture and helps to hold everything together.
- Chicken: Shredded chicken works best for this recipe. Rotisserie chicken is my favorite to use since it’s already cooked and tender.
- Lettuce: Crunchy lettuce like Romaine is a classic but you can also use iceberg, or green leaf lettuce.
- Green onion: Adds a hint of onion flavor.
- Parmesan cheese: Freshly shredded Parmesan cheese adds to the Caesar salad flavor.
- Tortillas: I recommend using large flour tortillas.
- Creamy Caesar dressing: Use your favorite Caesar dressing.

How to make chicken caesar pinwheels

- Mix together the softened cream cheese and Caesar dressing in a large bowl. Stir in the diced onions, shredded Parmesan, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in the chopped lettuce and chicken. Make sure to stir to fully combine.


- Spread the a quarter of the mixture over one tortilla. Make sure to spread it out to the edges.
- Tightly roll the tortilla. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate. Continue with the remaining ingredients.


- Remove the plastic wrap. Slice in half inch slices and serve.

- Soften the cream cheese before preparing. This will help make it easier to combine the ingredients and also makes it easier to spread.
- Shred or dice the chicken small. Make sure to shred or dice the chicken into small pieces so that it’s easy to roll.
- Chop the lettuce small. Similar to the chicken, you will want to chop the Romaine lettuce small.
- Roll the tortillas tightly. Rolling the tortillas tightly will help hold them together and makes sure there isn’t any open space in the pinwheel.
Variations and substitutions
This is a great base chicken pinwheel recipe but you can easily makes these your own with a few substitutions.
- Spicy Caesar pinwheels: Add a few splashes of hot sauce to the cream cheese mixture.
- Greek pinwheels: Substitute Caesar dressing with Greek dressing and splash of lemon juice.
- Vegetable Caesar pinwheels: Leave out the chicken and add in some vegetables like bell pepper, cucumber, and carrots.
- Other add ins: Add a little extra flavor with crumbled bacon, chopped green olives, or even crumbled croutons.

Storage
Keep any leftover Caesar pinwheels in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will last for about 3 days. They do not freeze well.

Chicken Caesar Pinwheels
Ingredients
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 (8 ounce) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup creamy Caesar dressing
- 1 cup cooked, chopped chicken
- 2 cups Romaine lettuce, chopped
- 2 green onions, sliced
- ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
- Place the softened cream cheese and Caesar dressing in a large bowl. Mix together with a spatula or hand mixer.
- Stir in the green onion, shredded cheese, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Mix in the chopped chicken and lettuce. Stir to fully combine.
- Spread 1/4 of the mixture on top of one tortilla in an even layer. Make sure to spread out to the edges.
- Tightly roll up the tortilla. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate.
- Continue with the remaining tortillas and mixture.
- Chill the pinwheel rolls for at least an hour. Remove the plastic wrap. Slice into 1/2 inch rounds and serve.
