I am kind of obsessed with dips, especially hot, baked dips full of ooey gooey cheese. This simple chicken Alfredo dip is no exception. Packed with chicken, Alfredo, and cheese, whats not to love?

When I make this dip for a game day gathering or during the holidays, it always seems to be one of the first dishes to disappear. My husband especially loves it because chicken Alfredo is one of his favorite meals.

Typically I serve this as a dip but sometimes I like to make it for a fun dinner at home and serve it with breadsticks and a side salad. We scoop a little of the dip into bowls and everyone has their own portion.

Ingredients

These easy ingredients bake up together to make an out of this world cheesy chicken Alfredo dip.

Bowl of rotisserie chicken, jar of Alfredo sauce, shredded mozzarella, parmesan, cream cheese, and seasonings.
  • Chicken: Cooked, shredded or diced chicken. This is the perfect recipe to use rotisserie chicken or any leftover chicken you have on hand.
  • Cream cheese: This helps to give the dip a creamy base.
  • Alfredo sauce: To make this recipe easy, I use a jarred Alfredo sauce. You can also use homemade Alfredo.
  • Mozzarella cheese: Shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Parmesan cheese: Grated Parmesan as delicious savory flavor.
  • Garlic powder, salt, ground black pepper

Heather’s recipe tips

  • Shred or dice the chicken into small pieces. You want the chicken to be easy to scoop.
  • Let it rest: Once you remove the dip from the oven, let it rest about 5 minutes before serving.
  • Keep it warm: If you want to keep this warm at a party, you can keep it on warm in a small slow cooker.
  • Serving: Try serving this chicken Alfredo dip with crackers, toast, fresh vegetables, breadsticks, or pita chips.

Variations

Make this Alfredo dip with chicken your own by putting your own spin on the recipe. Here are a few suggestions:

  • Chicken Alfredo spinach dip: Stir in some thawed, frozen spinach or fresh spinach.
  • Cajun chicken Alfredo dip: Stir in a teaspoon of Cajun seasoning to add Cajun flavor to this dip.
  • Shrimp Alfredo dip: Substitute the chicken with cooked shrimp.
  • Bacon Alfredo dip: Mix in some cooked, crumbled bacon for smokey flavor.

Storage

To store, let the dip completely cool and then cover or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.

Reheat in the oven or microwave until heated through.

I do not recommend freezing this Alfredo dip. The sauce tends to separate when its thawed.
