Cranberry Cherry Dump Cake is a delicious dessert that is perfect for the holidays! Easy, sweet and tart homemade filling with a sugary cake topping.

It’s my favorite time of the year, filled with friends, family and of course, food! I love cooking for the holidays, especially desserts like this hot chocolate cake, holiday jello cake and nut clusters.

WHAT IS A DUMP CAKE?

Dump cakes typically consist of fruit on the bottom of a baking dish and are topped with cake mixture and melted butter. They are very similar to a cobbler.

This cake is a delicious combination of sweet and tart. The beautiful color from the cherries and cranberries makes it perfect to serve at any special holiday occasion.

Ingredients Needed:

Cherries – You can use frozen or fresh cherries. If they are large, cut them in half.

Cranberries – You can use fresh or frozen.

Sugar – I use Dixie Crystals Extra Fine Sugar.

All-purpose flour

Salt

Baking Powder

Butter – This will be melted and poured on top of the cake mixture. I melt my butter in the microwave or on the stove.
