New Orleans Style BBQ Shrimp! “Laissez les bon temps roulez!” or “Let the good times roll!” as they say in New Orleans. Shrimp cooked in a flavorful sauce and served with crusty bread.

BBQ Shrimp in a pan

This New Orleans style BBQ shrimp is buttery, lemony, and of course spicy. I have only been to New Orleans a handful of times, all of them to see football games 🙂 Don’t think I could survive being there for Mardi Gras.  New Orleans has some of the best food in the country. Jay and I usually eat our way through the city.

The times I have visited New Orleans, I always get BBQ shrimp. I am a big fan of anything spicy and anything you can dunk a piece of bread into.

BBQ Shrimp in sauce

This is a great meal to make at home because you can do it under 30 minutes and most of the ingredients you probably have on hand. I recommend dipping some crusty bread into this amazing BBQ sauce, you can also serve it over rice. This is one recipe you will definitely want to add to your recipe collection.

How to make BBQ Shrimp

  • Place shrimp in a small bowl and sprinkle with 2 teaspoons of creole seasoning. Mix until all shrimp covered with seasoning.
  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
