Slow Cooker Mississippi Chicken

Equipment

  • 1 slow cooker

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 1 package au jus gravy mix
  • 1 package dry ranch seasoning mix
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 8 peperoncini peppers
  • ¼ cup juice from peperoncinis
  • ½ cup chicken broth

Instructions

  • Place chicken in slow cooker. Top with au jus mix, ranch seasoning mix, chicken broth, butter, peperoncinis and pepperoncini juice. 
  • Cover and set slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-6 hours.
  • Once cooked, shred with fork to serve.

Notes

  • If you would like this chicken a little less spicy, you can reduce the amount of pepperoncini brine and pepperoncini peppers.
  • Shred the chicken in the slow cooker to soak up all of the flavorful sauce.
  • Make sure to place the pats of butter on top of the chicken so that it melts over top of the chicken for the best flavor.
