Servings: 4
- 4 pork chops boneless or bone in
- ¾ cup beef broth
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 (1 ounce) Lipton onion soup mix
- ½ teaspoon poultry seasoning
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter cut into small pieces
- 1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling
Spread sliced onions in the bottom of a slow cooker. Pour the beef broth over the onions.
Place the pork chops on top of the onions. Sprinkle on poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Place the pieces of butter over the seasonings.
Pour apple pie filling over the pork chops.
Place the cover on the slow cooker. Cook on low for 5-6 hours or on high for 3-4 hours
- Don't use thinly sliced pork chops. Thin pork chops won't hold up well.
- Layer to enhance flavors. I recommend putting the onions on the bottom of the slow cooker to help them caramelize and also to help prevent the pork chops form sticking.
- Try adding fresh apples. If you want even more apple flavor, you can add fresh, sliced apples the last hour of cooking.
