Sausage and Cream Cheese Bites

- 1 lb ground sausage
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 (8 ounce) cream cheese
- ½ tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 2 green onions, diced
- 1 (16.3 ounce can) Grands Flaky Biscuits
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly spray a regular muffin tin.
Brown the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain any excess great once the sausage is fully cooked.
Add in the diced peppers. Stir for 2-3 minutes. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and cream cheese. Keep stirring until the cream cheese melts.
Turn the heat of the stove. Stir in the shredded cheese and diced green onions.
Take a biscuit and pull it apart in half. (This will make 2 biscuits.) Place one of the biscuit halves in a muffin cup. Push the biscuit into the cup to make a crust.
Continue until all of the muffin cups have a biscuit.
Fill each biscuit with the sausage mixture, about 2 tablespoons of mixture.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the biscuit turns golden brown.
Let the cool 2-3 minutes before carefully removing them from the muffin pan.
- Cook the sausage well and drain any excess grease.
- Dice the peppers small.
- If you can use freshly shredded cheese, it melts the best. Prepackaged shredded cheese is fine, but freshly shredded has the best flavor and consistency.
- Try to split the biscuit dough evenly.
- This recipe makes 16 biscuit cups.
