Sausage and Cream Cheese Bites

Sausage and cream cheese bites made with Grands biscuits are a simple, delicious bite made with just a few ingredients. Perfect for an appetizer that is sure to satisfy your crowd.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 (8 ounce) cream cheese
  • ½ tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 2 green onions, diced
  • 1 (16.3 ounce can) Grands Flaky Biscuits

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly spray a regular muffin tin.
  • Brown the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain any excess great once the sausage is fully cooked.
  • Add in the diced peppers. Stir for 2-3 minutes. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and cream cheese. Keep stirring until the cream cheese melts.
  • Turn the heat of the stove. Stir in the shredded cheese and diced green onions.
  • Take a biscuit and pull it apart in half. (This will make 2 biscuits.) Place one of the biscuit halves in a muffin cup. Push the biscuit into the cup to make a crust.
  • Continue until all of the muffin cups have a biscuit.
  • Fill each biscuit with the sausage mixture, about 2 tablespoons of mixture.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the biscuit turns golden brown.
  • Let the cool 2-3 minutes before carefully removing them from the muffin pan.

Notes

  • Cook the sausage well and drain any excess grease.
  • Dice the peppers small.
  • If you can use freshly shredded cheese, it melts the best. Prepackaged shredded cheese is fine, but freshly shredded has the best flavor and consistency.
  • Try to split the biscuit dough evenly.
  • This recipe makes 16 biscuit cups.
