Servings: 8
- 8 ounce cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 5 peaches, diced small
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- 1 ½ tablespoons corn starch
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon almond extract
Place the diced peaches and lemon juice in a bowl and stir. Add in the brown sugar, corn starch, cinnamon, nutmeg, and almond extract. Stir to combine.
Place the peach mixture in a medium sized saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the mixture thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
Let the peach pie filling mixture cool.
In a separate bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar with an electric mixer until creamy.
Spread the cream cheese mixture out in a pie dish or 8 x 8 serving dish.
Once the peach pie filling has cooled, spread it over the cream cheese.
Serve immediately or cover and chill in the refrigerator until ready to eat.
- Cut the peaches into small pieces. This makes it easier to dip and eat.
- Make sure your cream cheese is softened. Having softened cream cheese makes it smooth and creamy.
- Note, the peach pie topping will be a little thick. That makes it easier to dip and stay on the dipper.
- Double the recipe and serve in a 9 x 13 baking dish for a larger crowd.
