Ingredients

  • 8 ounce cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 5 peaches, diced small
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • 1 ½ tablespoons corn starch
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  • Place the diced peaches and lemon juice in a bowl and stir. Add in the brown sugar, corn starch, cinnamon, nutmeg, and almond extract. Stir to combine.
  • Place the peach mixture in a medium sized saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the mixture thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Let the peach pie filling mixture cool.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar with an electric mixer until creamy.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture out in a pie dish or 8 x 8 serving dish.
  • Once the peach pie filling has cooled, spread it over the cream cheese.
  • Serve immediately or cover and chill in the refrigerator until ready to eat.

Notes

  • Cut the peaches into small pieces. This makes it easier to dip and eat.
  • Make sure your cream cheese is softened. Having softened cream cheese makes it smooth and creamy.
  • Note, the peach pie topping will be a little thick. That makes it easier to dip and stay on the dipper.
  • Double the recipe and serve in a 9 x 13 baking dish for a larger crowd.
