Servings: 35 bites
- 1 ½ cups Bisquick
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheese
- 8 ounce cream cheese
- 2 cups shredded hash browns, thawed
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place the cream cheese in a mixing bowl. Mix with an electric mixer until creamy.
Mix in the garlic powder, Bisquick, and sausage. Mix on low speed until combined.
Stir in the hash browns and the shredded cheese.
Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on the baking sheet about 1 inch apart.
Bake for 18-20 minutes or until sausage is fully cooked through.
- Use soften cream cheese to make it easier to mix.
- Remove extra moisture from the thawed hash browns. I like to squeeze the thawed hash browns to remove any extra moisture.
- Don't overmix so that the bites don't become too tough.
- Spray your hands with non stick cooking spray to help form the balls.
- Try to shape in similar size so that they cook evenly. I like using a cookie scoop or tablespoon for this.
