Servings: 24 pinwheels
- 8 ounce cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 ounce can diced green chiles, drained
- 3 green onions, diced
- 3 flour tortillas
Place the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and garlic powder in a large bowl. Mix together with an electric mixer.
Stir in the diced green onions, shredded cheddar cheese, and drained green chiles until combined.
Spread 1/3 of the mixture on top of one tortilla. Tightly roll up the tortilla into a roll. Make sure to roll as tight as possible.
Wrap the tortilla roll in plastic wrap and refrigerate.
Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
Let the tortilla roll refrigerate for at least an hour. Unwrap the plastic wrap and slice off the ends of the tortilla roll.
Slice into 1/2 inch pinwheels.
Serve or store and refrigerate until ready to eat.
- Soften the cream cheese before mixing. This will help make it easier to spread over the tortilla.
- Make sure to drain the green chiles well so that the mixture doesn't become too watery.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture just out to the edges of the tortilla in an even layer.
- Make sure to chill before slicing. If you are in a hurry, you can even stick them in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
