- 1 box brownie mix plus ingredients on the box
- 1 (14 ounce) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (14 ounce) bag sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 (16 ounce) container of chocolate frosting
Prepare the brownies according to the box directions. Let them completely cool.
In a large bowl, combine the shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, and powdered sugar. Stir to fully combine.
Once the brownies have cooled, spread the coconut mixture over the brownies.
Remove the lid and foil from the container of chocolate frosting. Microwave for about 15 seconds.
Spread the frosting over the coconut layer. Let the brownies rest for about 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving. You can even put them in the refrigerator before cutting to help get a nice, clean cut.
- Use fudgy brownies. I recommend using a fudgy brownie mix, not a cakey brownie mix.
- Let the brownies cool. Let the brownies cool completely before adding the coconut layer.
- Chill before serving. This is not a necessary step, but I recommend refrigerating the brownies for about 30 minutes before slicing. This helps with nice, clean slices.
