Candied Bacon Crackers

Ingredients

  • 21 club crackers You can use more or less depending on how many you would like to make.
  • 10 slices bacon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a cooling rack on the foil.
  • Cut the bacon into pieces that will fit on the cracker. Usually one slice of bacon can cover 2-3 crackers. Place crackers on the cooling rack. Top the crackers with the bacon.
  • Sprinkle the brown sugar on top of the bacon and then add the ground black pepper.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until bacon is cooked. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • It's best if you use a cooling rack to help prevent the crackers from sticking to the foil.
  • Want to add a little spiciness? Sprinkle with red pepper flakes or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
