Ingredients

  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Add the pineapple juice, cornstarch, mustard, butter, and seasonings to a small saucepan. Whisk to combine the ingredients.
  • Bring the ingredients to a bubble over medium heat. Make sure to keep stirring so it doesn't burn. Once the mixture comes to a bubble, cook for about 1 minute and then turn off the heat. The glaze should have started to slightly thicken.
  • Use the glaze to brush on ham, or other meat.
