Ingredients

  • 4 plain bagels
  • 1 (2.75 ounce) country white gravy mix
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
  • Brown the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat. Make sure to break the sausage up and crumble while cooking. Once cooked, drain off any excess grease.
  • Prepare the gravy according to the package directions.
  • Lay the bagel halves on the prepared baking sheet. Spoon the gravy on top of the bagel halves. Sprinkle the salt and pepper over the gravy.
  • Top the gravy with the shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Top the cheese with crumbled sausage. Add a little extra cheese on top of the sausage.
  • Bake the bagels for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese melts.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

  • Don't overload the bagels with too many toppings. This will help make them easier to pick up.
  • Bake until the cheese is fully melted.
  • You can cut the bagels into smaller pieces to make it easier to eat for smaller children.
  • Serve the bagels warm, right out of the oven for the best taste.
