Servings: 4
- 4 plain bagels
- 1 (2.75 ounce) country white gravy mix
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
Brown the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat. Make sure to break the sausage up and crumble while cooking. Once cooked, drain off any excess grease.
Prepare the gravy according to the package directions.
Lay the bagel halves on the prepared baking sheet. Spoon the gravy on top of the bagel halves. Sprinkle the salt and pepper over the gravy.
Top the gravy with the shredded mozzarella cheese.
Top the cheese with crumbled sausage. Add a little extra cheese on top of the sausage.
Bake the bagels for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese melts.
Serve warm.
- Don't overload the bagels with too many toppings. This will help make them easier to pick up.
- Bake until the cheese is fully melted.
- You can cut the bagels into smaller pieces to make it easier to eat for smaller children.
- Serve the bagels warm, right out of the oven for the best taste.
