Ingredients

Dry Mix

  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1/2 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Sloppy Joe

  • 1 lb lean ground beef, turkey or chicken
  • 1 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth

Instructions

  • For the spice blend, mix all of the spices together in a small bowl.
  • To make sloppy joes, cook ground meat in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook until browned. 
  • Add tomato sauce, beef broth and spice mixture. Stir together to mix. 
  • Lower heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
