Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Place softened butter, garlic, parsley, chives, salt and pepper in a bowl.
  • Use a fork to mash the ingredients together and then stir to combine.

Notes

Can I use dried herbs? Yes, substitute 1 teaspoon of dried parsley and chives for the fresh herbs.
Feel free to add or substitute herbs. Thyme and rosemary are also delicious additions to this recipe.
If you want to highlight the beefy flavor, try adding a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce to the butter mixture.
This butter can be made ahead of time and kept in the refrigerator or freezer so it's ready to go.
