Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 ounce taco seasoning
  • 1 (16 ounce) chunky salsa
  • 2 cups shredded cheese

Instructions

  • Add cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning in a large bowl. Cream together with a mixer.
  • Spread the dip in a pie dish or 9 x 9 baking dish.
  • Spread the salsa over the cream cheese mixture.
  • Top with the shredded cheese. Serve immediately or cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate.

Notes

  • Make sure to soften the cream cheese. This will help the base be smooth and not lumpy.
  • Use thick or chunky salsa. Thicker salsa will help prevent the dip from becoming watery.
  • Adjust the seasoning. You can adjust the amount of taco seasoning used according to your taste.
  • Make them portable. Make personal, hand held dips buy putting the layers in small plastic cups.
