- 16 ounce cream cheese, softened
- 16 ounce chili sauce
- 3 tablespoons prepared horseradish
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 lb medium shrimp, deveined, tails off, cooked and diced
Prepare the cocktail sauce by mixing together the chili sauce, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. (This can be made the day before.)
Place the softened cream cheese in a bowl and then whip the cream cheese with an electric mixer.
Spread the cream cheese in a serving dish.
Top the cream cheese with the cocktail sauce.
Add the shrimp on top of the cocktail sauce.
Serve immediately or cover and chill until ready to eat.
- Make sure to soften the cream cheese. This helps make it easier to spread.
- Pat the shrimp dry. Make sure to pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel to get rid of any excess moisture.
- Make the cocktail sauce ahead of time to allow it to chill.
