Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • ¾ cup dried cranberries
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 2 green onions, diced
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • ¼ teaspoon celery seed
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Make the dressing by whisking together mayonnaise, sour cream, honey, Dijon mustard, celery seed, salt, and ground black pepper. Set aside.
  • Place the cooked and shredded chicken in a large bowl.
  • Add in the diced green onions, celery, chopped pecans, and dried cranberries.
  • Stir in the dressing until everything is combined.
  • Cover the bowl and refrigerator for about 30 minutes before serving.

  • Shred or chop the chicken small. This makes it easier to eat.
  • For extra flavor, lightly toast the chopped pecans. Let them cool before adding into the chicken salad.
  • Don't skip the celery seed because it adds such great flavor.
  • Let it chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors come together.
