Sloppy Joe Tacos

Ingredients

  • 1 box taco shells
  • 1-1.5 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 15-oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 6-oz can tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In a large skillet, combine beef, onion, and pepper.
  • Cook over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbled.
  • Drain excess liquid.
  • Stir tomato sauce, tomato paste, worcestershire, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper into beef mixture.
  • Bring to boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir frequently.
  • Place taco shells in baking dish and spoon beef mixture into shells. Top with shredded cheese and bake for 5-7 minutes or until cheese has melted.
