Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough
  • 3/4 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 4-5 slices salami, cut in half
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasonings
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Sprinkle a little cornmeal on pizza pan or pizza stone.
  • Roll out pizza dough and place on pizza pan or pizza stone.
  • Spread pizza sauce over dough leaving room on the edges for a crust.
  • Top with shredded mozzarella cheese. Top with salami slices, red onions, Italian seasonings and grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust starts to turn golden.

Notes

  • Note that the amount of ingredients you use might vary depending on the size of pizza you are making.
  • If you prefer a thin crust, be sure to roll out the crust really thin before adding the toppings.
  • This could also be made into a deep dish by baking it in a cast iron skillet or deep casserole dish.
  • Want some heat? Try sprinkling with crushed red pepper flakes.
