Chicken Taco Seasoning

Delicious homemade chicken taco seasoning perfect for taco night.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  • Place all of the spices in a bowl or jar and stir to combine.
  • Cover and store until ready to use.

Notes

This seasoning is for 1 lb of meat. 
If you would like a milder mix, don't use the cayenne pepper. If you want it spicier, add an extra 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne.
You can add 1/2 teaspoon of cornstarch to help thicken the spice sauce.
Want to add a tomato flavor? Stir in 1/2 cup tomato sauce or Ro-Tel after the chicken has cooked.
This chicken taco seasoning also can be used with ground beef and ground turkey.
This recipe can be multiplied to save for later.
