Sloppy Joe Sauce

  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • Place the tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, garlic powder, ground mustard, salt, and pepper into a bowl.
  • Whisk the sauce until completely combined.
  • To make the sloppy joe meat, place ground beef in a large skillet. Break it up while cooking over medium heat. Once it starts to brown, drain off any excess grease and stir in diced onion and diced bell pepper. Stir another 2-3 minutes and then pour in the sloppy joe sauce.
