House Salad Recipe

A classic house salad salad makes the perfect side dish. Full of fresh veggies and croutons, this is a simple salad recipe.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups crisp lettuce, chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cup English cucumbers, chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, cut in half
  • 1/3 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup croutons
  • 1/3 cup black olives
  • 1/4 cup salad dressing of choice

Instructions

  • Prepare your ingredients by cleaning and chopping the crispy lettuce, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, and carrots. Add any additional toppings of your choice.
  • Place the ingredients in a large bowl and toss to distribute the ingredients through the salad.
  • Serve with your favorite dressing.

Notes

  • Slice onions into thin pieces and cut the other vegetables into smaller, bite-sized pieces.
  • Make sure to clean and dry lettuce so that it will last longer. You can also buy pre-cleaned lettuce.
  • If you would like to make this ahead of time, chop all of the vegetables, clean the lettuce, and prepare the dressing. Store in separate containers in the refrigerator and then assemble when ready to eat.
