Ingredients

  • 1 cup tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1/2 jalapeno, diced small
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 bunch cilantro, chopped
  • salt
  • ground black pepper

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix together all of the ingredients. Refrigerate until ready to serve. 

Notes

  • This is supposed to be a "fresh" salsa but if you are in a real hurry you can drain a can of petite diced tomatoes. I like using grape or cherry tomatoes for this recipe.
  • If you don't like heat or spice, omit the jalapeno. If you like heat, add a whole jalapeno instead of half.
