I love getting crafty, especially over the holidays. Sharpie makes it easy to transform boring gift wrap into a one of a kind work of art.
Growing up, my job was to hep my mom wrap all of the presents. I would sit in her room with a holiday movie on in the background and wrap gifts. She would hand me a present and I would pick out the paper and wrap. Spending time with her and getting a little creative with the wrapping are still some of my favorite holiday memories.
Now my oldest daughter is helping me wrap. She loves to draw and has so much fun designing her own unique paper. On my last trip to Target I picked up Sharpie Permanent Markers Limited Edition Gift Pack (39 ct.) to use for our wrapping designs.
For this tutorial, I am showing three easy wrapping ideas for the holidays. Feel free to let your imagination take over. With all of the beautiful colors in these Sharpie gift sets, the possibilities are bright, bold and endless!
Things you need:
- A variety of Sharpie Permanent Markers
- Brown, White, or Black craft paper/ paper gift bags
- Red pom pom for Rudolph nose
For the Rudolph bag, simply draw two eyes and some antlers. I added some holly berries to the antlers for a splash of color. Next, using a hot glue gun, place a red pom pom in the center for his red nose.
To make the string of lights paper, draw a curly line and then add little light bulbs along the line. Use your favorite color Sharpies for the light bulb colors. You can top with a bow to make it extra festive.
The snowflake wrap is one of my favorites and easiest designs. I found some snowflake ribbon and then with a silver Sharpie, you can draw snowflakes all over the paper. The metallic colors would also be beautiful on black paper.
Along with making your own wrapping paper The Sharpie Permanent Markers Limited Edition Gift Pack (39 ct.) and Sharpie + Paper Mate Flair Gift Pack (28 ct.) make wonderful gifts for kids, tweens and adults. I will be giving a set to my daughter this Christmas. She will be so excited!!
I found Sharpie Permanent Markers Limited Edition Gift Pack (39 ct.) at my local Target on the end of the aisle in the Office Supply Section of the store.
