Hey there, friends! Today’s post is a little different from my normal recipes, I want to share a bit more about myself and my blogging journey with you. Don’t worry, more recipes will be back tomorrow.
My whole life I have enjoyed cooking. I can remember helping my parents in the kitchen when I was too little to reach the kitchen counter and loving every second of making a meal. Cooking has been a love that has stayed with me throughout the years and something that I enjoy sharing with my family and friends.
Seven years ago I became a stay at home mom with my oldest daughter, Ava, fifteen months later we had our son, Major and then two more years baby Elle was born. I knew I wanted to stay home with them while they were young but maybe eventually would start working in some form when they entered school. About a year and a half ago, I decided to start Food Lovin Family as a creative outlet and to share some of my favorite recipes. A few months after starting, I realized that there are many stay at home moms like me who have made their blog a business. The realization that I could do something that I was passionate about and earn a little money to help with college funds really got my brain going. I decided that I wanted to start focusing more and learning as much as I can about blogging and making it my business.
This year I have set some lofty goals, one of them is to attend a blogging conference. I feel it is so important to get out from behind the computer screen and meet other bloggers. Becoming part of the blogging community is a big step to connect, learn and grow. I am so excited to be checking off my goal because this year I am attending Blog Life University as an ambassador in Atlanta, GA. This conference was started last year by Diana Johnson of Eating Richly Even When You’re Broke and Melissa Llado of Serendipity and Spice. They started Blog Life University as another venue for bloggers and social media influencers to connect, learn, and prosper with each other.
There is wonderful lineup of speakers this year:
I know many of these speakers from the blogging world and can’t wait to hear about their own journey, experiences and tips.
There is also a schedule full of amazing information.
I am looking forward to sharing my Blog Life University experience with you. If this looks like an event that might help grow your blog please join us! I can’t wait to meet everyone and expand my blogging community. You can click HERE for $100 off of your event ticket with the code BLU16.
